21,628 PointsIt is a lot of work. Subtitles for movies involve translating from one language to another. Language specialists are hired to do the translating. You probably noticed some DVDs and Blu-rays offer a half-dozen or more language options. That's a lot of work!
Even the job of transcribing a spoken language to the same language in text form is very time consuming.
