HTML How to Make a Website HTML First Use HTML Elements

It wants the root of the document entered.

I entered <html> and it won't accept. What is wrong here? I have gone back in the video and the listened to Nick speak and read the documentation, and it says the page root is <html>.

Thank you Stone. I had not seen the closing tag in that whole video - but since all others, except for <!DOCTYPE html> have a closing tag it makes since. I will go back and work on that. Thanks again.

you are correct that the root is the html tag, however you have to be sure and close the opening html tag like so.

<html>
</html>

if you only enter <html> it wont accept it as correct
