I was wrapping an <i> tag around text in an HTML email and noticed it would subscript the text when I previewed it in the browser. I checked to see if it was just because the <i> element is deprecated, but I was getting the same results when using the <em> element, as well as styling a <span> tag with font-style: italics;
Has anyone come across this happening?

<sub>
tags?

19,392 PointsAll my CSS is inline (that's a reason as to why it has to be, unfortunately), but it seems to only do it when there is only one line of text & line-height affects how far down the elements are brought down and the italicized content

19,392 PointsJust tried it again today in another newsletter and when I used <em> & <i>, they didn't affect the line-height of the content in them.
help ?
It's not the end of the world, but I was just curious as to why it would affect it that way.
