3,741 PointsI've been wondering if there is going to be a app for treehouse on the iPhone like there is for the iPad or android?
There's a app for the iPad but you can't download it for the iPhone and I was wondering if that's something that's in development.

Courses Plus Student 11,734 PointsI would welcome an iPhone app that gives access to the forum. However, I don't think that the learning experience would be very good on such a small device, so I will stick with the iPad app.
It would be interesting to know the answer to this question though.

30,164 PointsA mobile phone app is a great solution only if we keep it simple and show only a little bit of the website such as the forum! The forum (alone) is a very large place and in addition to that having the ability to check on Notifications would be pretty awesome. BUT to include more than that would be a difficult experience from the user's standpoint or at least form mine.

Courses Plus Student 11,734 PointsHey Tommy Gebru,
I totally agree. Hence why I was saying that I would disagree with learning from Treehouse on such a small device. I also agree with you that the forum is large and would not be comfortable, however I like to checkup on the Treehouse forum wherever I am, and sometimes that is much more possible on an iPhone than it is on a PC, laptop or iPad for me. It would only be for a forum browsing purpose, not for actual answers or learning.
Maybe I should have elaborated more on that answer.

30,164 PointsI too find that when I am mobile I can't check on Treehouse and that kinda sucks. I am getting into the habit of time-management and enjoying my progress with Treehouse.

30,164 PointsHey Marshall Just speculating what would be the necessary things to include?
Because the small screen size makes watching most video lessons ineffective, an example would be watching on my iphone 4s all lines of code is a blur. So I don't think its a good way to approach Treehouse for new members or otherwise.
Again, I think if you could provide a forum only, that may work in the sense that it can resemble a small amount of Treehouse which can be effective on the move. Like notifications and updates, and posting wouldn't be so terrible if you were confident with your knowledge of the material if someone were to help others " i.e. a moderator".
And you could only justify building or making that application for (phablets) really large phones.
What has worked for me on my phone is The Treehouse Show which I don't have to take to seriously (or have the ability to read any small print) because it is more entertaining than your average show.

3,504 PointsWe'd love it for students be to able to use their iPhone as well, but only offering certain features feels a bit like a sub-par product. The major problems that we'd need to solve are really videos with code and doing code challenges.

3,297 PointsI just logged in here to ask this question. New iphones have big screens. I have long waits on commute to work and I would love to be able to be able to watch on screen so its not a waste of time. Also having trouble downloading videos to phone to watch offline too. thanks

30,164 PointsHey Marco there is a short video on the teamtreehouse support page. Let me know if you have any questions. Hope this helps :-)
