Hi! I've got an issue with a challenge I'm doing.
challenge is "Add a conditional statement that tests if the value in the variable a is greater than the value in variable b. If it is, pop up an alert with the message 'a is greater than b'; also add an else clause that pops up the message 'a is not greater than b'."
my answer: var a = 10; var b = 20; var c = 30; if (a > b) { alert("<p>a is greater than b</p>"); } else { alert("<p>a is not greater than b</p>"); }
but I get this error: Bummer: I don't see the message 'a is NOT greater than b'. Are you sure you wrote the conditional statement correctly?
I keep going over it but just don't see what I did wrong :) any ideas?

54,915 PointsHi Samuel,
Maybe the problem is a matter of simplifying your code. When I tested your code without the braces and <p> tags, it passed when I tested it. Try this:
var a = 10;
var b = 20;
var c = 30;
if (a > b)
alert("a is greater than b");
else alert("a is not greater than b");
Cheers!
