JavaScript book.. but not for absolute beginners

Hi guys,

I am looking for a good JavaScript book.. but most of them are for absolute beginners. I know the basics, but don't feel confident enough for the more advanced books. The problem i have with these is that i am just rewriting the code that has been given, without really knowing what i'm doing.

I've just got the feeling falling in between! Hope you guys have some good examples!

Thx!

I am following these steps at the moment. I have tried, and tried, and tried, and tried again to learn JavaScript and I just can't seem to grasp it. So I have decided to pretty much start from scratch again in the hope I can do the same as Vincent. I am half way through the second book, Scope and Closures, it's a difficult read if I am being honest but I feel like it is helping.

Wow, this guys describes it perfectly! He was on the exact point where i am now! :)

You might want to checkout JavaScript Enlightenment.

You can't really go wrong with Addy Osmani's JavaScript Design Patterns — It's open-source. After that one, I'd recommend Michael McMillan's Data Structures & Algorithms in JavaScript.

check this book

This is for absolute beginners tho...

@Tim Knight this looks like a great read!

Great guys! thx! :)
