3,501 PointsJavascript Foundations needs tutorials, any suggestions?
Hi all,
I've just finished the Javascript Foundations module and feel that i need to try some real world tutorial projects that enable me to bring all i've learnt together. Beginner level stuff like; creating a slide in menu or a simple image slideshow or similar.
I think this is an area Treehouse should place more emphasis on, maybe by including some of the tutorials featured on the blog alongside the actual course content. Can anybody recommend some guided tutorials for someone at my basic level of ability?
Please include links if possible, Thanks

3,501 PointsI'd also appreciate your opinions regarding a good javascript reference book that includes examples of common code (image slider, form validation etc) preferably written in the last 2 or 3 years. Most on Amazon seem ancient.
Thanks

39,199 PointsTake a look at the Build an Interactive Website course on Treehouse it uses JQuery and covers form validation.
You can try out your Javascript skills over at Learn Street they got projects building games like hangman and snakes and ladders.
There's also codecademy's Javascript course which is based around project-centric code challenges.

85 PointsI'll echo this request. The Javascript Foundations Deep Dive is the first Treehouse program I am attempting, and I feel like all I'm doing is watching, not doing.
Team Treehouse - do you have practice examples for us to use alongside the video content? I know I'm not going to retain it if I don't actually use it.
Thanks!
