The exercise will not pass. It wants me to change the function to a prototype function:
original code:
function Monster(name) { this.name = name; this.health = 100; this.takeDamage = function (){ this.health--; } }
My code:
function Monster(name) { this.name = name; this.health = 100; }
Monster.prototype.takeDamage(){ this.health--; }
Can anyone point me in the right direction
function Monster(name) {
this.name = name;
this.health = 100;
}
Monster.prototype.takeDamage(){
this.health--;
}

5,354 PointsHi, David.
The problem is that using prototypes, your prototype reference should point to a function like the code below and not try to be a function.
Monster.prototype.takeDamage = function() {
this.health--;
}
