JavaScript quiz issue - again.

JavaScript string issue: I do not understand this question:

'Use the JavaScript .toUpperCase( ) string method to assign an all uppercase version of the id variable to the userName variable'.

I understand 'toUpperCase() etc, but I can't get past this bloody quiz because I don't know what they are asking for.

Your help would be most appreciated.

Stuart

app.js
var id = "23188xtr".toUpperCase();
var lastName = "Smith".toUpperCase();
index.html

Apply the method as an extension of the variable you want to affect:

var userName = id.toUpperCase();

They don't want you to change what's in the "id" variable. They want you to use the "id" variable, along with the method, to put something into the "userName" variable.

Before you removed it, the challenge had provided you with the start of a line that had "var userName" on it.
