9,805 PointsJob Interview
Hi dev folks! Need your opinion on this one. I've recently had a job interview for this amazing company and were given a task "basic task" for some genius in my opinion lol. They sent me a test link to codility site which I find it really difficult to understand the algorithm and the logic behind the question etc. As a front end developer I have never came across anything like that before. Is there a benefit of doing the test or taking this matter and study more in computer science algorithm? Thanks in advance. :D

9,805 PointsSteven Parker unfortunately the link itself is private so I won't be able to share it on here but, If you go to https://codility.com website you can take a look at few example there. Let me know what your thought are.

231,269 PointsI agree, these don't seem to be testing web developer skills. From both the nature of the tasks and the fact that you can use any of a large range of languages to create your solution, these are all primarily tests of problem-solving ability. They seem to be more about mathematics and statistical analysis than they are about computer science.
However, it does make sense that these would be the abilities an "amazing company" might be seeking. Can you tell us which company?

231,269 PointsIs this test link private for that company, or something you could share? I'd be curious to see it.
