I am interested in getting a job in front-end development. I have taken several courses already and am still taking more but I am sort of lost when it comes to my portfolio and what employers are looking for. Is there some sort of guidelines or requirements I should include in my portfolio? Does anyone know of any resources I can go to online to help me?

For your portfolio site, you'll want to make sure you've got links to some sample websites that you've built, as well as a list of skills that you have (languages, platforms, frameworks, tools, etc.). If you don't have sample sites from clients yet, make a few websites for imaginary clients! It also helps to make your site stand out if you can add some personal flair to it, whether that be in the design itself, the verbage used, or maybe an "About Me" section. Employers and/or potential clients want to see that you're capable of doing the job they're looking to hire you for, and that you are somebody down to earth that they can get along with (while also being professional). Additionally, make sure that your site is a reflection of your skills, and by that, I mean make sure it is on par as far as current standards and practices are concerned (proper structure to your code base, responsive, cross-browser friendly, etc.).
A great way to get inspired and to get an idea for what other people have on their sites (as far as information available) is to do a simple Google search! Get online and search for something like best web development portfolio sites 2015 to see a listing of what others have done, and where you might be able to go with your site!
Hope this helps!
