28,149 PointsThe answer to your question depends on what you want to do. You're basically throwing the buffet out there, but you can't eat it all in one sitting, you'll be sick. So you want to start with steak, seafood, spaghetti? What are you really hungry for?
There is a metaphor James Barnett will enjoy I think!
I heard freelance in there, and building a tech start up. Two different goals, really. When you nail down what it is you want to do, the technology will start to fall into place. It's not so much which language should you learn, but which should you learn first. And that answer will be apparent after you answer what you want to do. Which btw, is only a question you can answer. We can't do that for you. Once you figure out what you want to do, and you than decided where to spend your time and energy learning, you'll start to learn what languages you do not enjoy using as much. As a freelancer, you can just avoid jobs that would require that, but if you go the tech start up way, you could look at finding someone to code in that language for you, as a possibility.
