I saw in the video this kind of snytax : jquery.fittext.js instead of somedirectory/fittext.js

what does it means?

jquery.fittext.js is just a file name.

somedirectory/fittext.js could/would be the same file, just named slightly different inside of the folder of "somedirectory".

The jquery addition to the file name is for humans, not computers. As far as I know it's just a quick and dirty way to see that this file requires jquery to be pulled in first.
