627 Pointskind of lost, need some guidance on the courses i need to take in the future.
hello I am learning web development. i started with courses online (php basics-sql basics-css-html) now i am watching the PHP Development course-Build a Simple PHP Application what should i learn after? is it better to learn another language along with php. ruby maybe?. or stick with php up to a certain point?
I have watched courses before and then try watching different courses like the one i am watching now, many things in the course i know already and i feel that i am wasting my time. or this is the right thing to do?
thank you

4,610 PointsIf it helps i've just finished the CSS basics course on here and im not new to CSS but nor am i an Expert. I started with the same feeling as you but by the time i finished I was happy I went through it, I patch a few loose ends . Think of it like a math program, First time you learn a new formula it sucks but the more you study those same equations they become second nature and your able to retain other strategies more quickly. I don't think it's a waste of time to take a class again or going some old lessons but choose your time wisely so you are not rushed or forget things, I hope this helps.

627 Pointsthank you much, it does help. same feeling here when watching kinda same courses with different projects, I do learn something new, different ways of approaching tasks with same code. but the thing here is that to be able to see where you going and knowing what will you be able to do after taking this much of hours or knowing this much of code.
thanks for you response.
