Learning/taking two tracks [different topics] at the same time

Hi,

I have been undertaking the Web Design Track for a few months (on and off as I work and have had other commitments] and it has been very enjoyable yet challenging [as I have limited IT experience].

I am particularly interested, as I am sure many are, in learning iOS app development. I was wondering if you think it unwise for me to try to continue my development in front end web development and at the same time start the iOS app development or related track. I don't want to end up confusing myself and getting bogged down but I guess being a product of the modern age, I am keen to learn as much and as quickly as possible.

Your advice would be most appreciated, including any track recommendations or approaches.

Thanks very much.

Elias.

I think it really depends on your comfort level. Do you have an end-goal in mind for changing careers or are you learning simply to learn and be able to use your skills for personal enrichment?

You could always try the iOS track, and if you feel like learning both at the same time is too much, simply continue in the Web Design track until you complete it. Remember, you can only be active in one track at a time, but you don't loose your progress when switching back and forth. Or you could access the library and take the first course in the iOS track without switching tracks and see if it's something you want to pursue in more depth. Taking a course from the library does count toward track completion too, no need to redo it if you decide to take the track.

That's great and very helpful advice. Thanks so much Alice.
