14,831 PointsLeft-hand static navigation/full page scroller?
Does anyone know what you would call the static left hand navigation on this Moto site?
I need to build it for a client at work, and I wanted to prepare ahead of time. I figured I would ask the Treehouse forum, before I begin a blindly Googling.
I suppose I could try "static left hand nav full page scroller" ;)
Any help is greatly appreciated!

20,155 PointsThis is sometimes called scroll jacking. There are many ways to implement this but I found this tutorial helpful on a recent project.

This method seems to play will with mobile also.
Best convention is to keep it to a minimum and pay attention to things like accessibility. Its good for showing off a product but can effect a few things negatively and if not implemented well I have found it is very frustrating to the user.

Thank you, this is a great starting point. I personally would rather stick to a more "traditional" navigation at the top, and bypass the side navigation, but when the designers I work with see something flashy they become fixated, and I don't have enough tenure to sway them.
It shall be an interesting challenge, and thanks again for the link!
