Welcome to Treehouse, Jon!

You have to divide the length and width by 12 before the calculation of the area because they are inches and the result (area) has to be in feet.

// the height and width of a wall
let height = 120.0 // in inches
let width = 144.0 // in inches
let areaInFeet = height/12 * width/12

...but this variant of your code would work as well, of course:

// the height and width of a wall
let height = 120.0 // in inches
let width = 144.0 // in inches
let area = height * width
let areaInFeet = area / 144
