"let navigationLinks = document.querySelectorAll('nav, ul, li');" is not working. why is that?

This is selecting 8 links instead of the 3 within <nav><ul><li>

let navigationLinks = document.querySelectorAll('nav, ul, li');
let galleryLinks;
let footerImages;

In using commas 'nav, ul, li' will select all <nav> and <ul> and <li>

The descendant selector suggested in the task uses just spaces. So you'd have 'nav ul li' which can be shortened to 'nav li'

The only problem is that is selecting list items. The challenge wants you to select links.

ahh thank you. I misread the question and got it to work using ('nav a').
