Lighting looks worse after baking

For some reason after I bake the lights all the nice bouncing and reflections go away, here's a comparison from the same perspective:

The only thing that improves are the baked lights for the directional one from outside.

Just to clarify a bit more, this was while taking the course "Lighting in Unity" by Nick Pettit and using the supplied project files.

I'm using latest unity version (5.5.1f1) while the project files were made in a older version, I think it was 5.3 something.
