List and Detail Task 3 of 3

I am getting the following error on this task: Hmm, didn't get the right template output from ArticleDetail

What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. I've been stuck for some time.

articles/urls.py
from django.conf.urls import url

from . import views

urlpatterns = [
    url(r'^$', views.ArticleList.as_view(), name='list'),
    url(r'^(?P<pk>\d+)/$', views.ArticleDetail.as_view(), name='detail')
]
articles/views.py
from django.views.generic import ListView, DetailView

from . import models

class ArticleList(ListView):
    model = models.Article
    context_object_name = 'articles'

class ArticleDetail(DetailView):
    model = models.Article
articles/templates/articles/article_list.html
<h1>Articles</h1>

<ul>
  {% for article in articles %}
  <li>{{ article.title }}</li>
  {% endfor %}
</ul>
articles/templates/articles/article_detail.html
<h1>{{ article.title }}</h1>
<p>{{ article.author }}</p>

{( article.body|linebreaks )}

You are very close!

  • the statement for article in articles should be for article in article_list
  • fix typo parens should be curly brackets in {( article.body|linebreaks )}

Post back if you need more help. Good luck!!

Hey Brandon,

I'm not a Python person, but have a look at this previous post and see if that helps you troubleshoot. :)

Keep Coding! :dizzy:
