Hi, I'm trying to "jump back" a folder with the "../" command, and having trouble.
Here's my code:
(first page)a href="my_directory/another_page.html"My Link/a
(second page)a href="../index.html"Go back/a
(I had to erase my angle brackets for this question, because they would erase, along with what was inside them, when I saved the question. But they're all there, in the right place.)
And here's my file structure in Mac finder: practice(folder): index.html, another_page.html, my_directory(folder): another_page.html
So, in the "practice" folder, I have 2 html files and the "my_directory" folder. And in the "my_directory" folder, I also have another html file, "another_page.html".
(I tried to erase the duplicate "another_page.html" file that is in the "practice" folder, but it keeps re-appearing. Please help with this too, if there's something I should know.)
So I start from "practice/index.html" and I click the link and I am sent to "my_directory/another_page.html" but my problem is that when I try to execute the "../" command to return back to "practice/index.html", the url is still trying to find "index.html" in the "my_directory" folder.
Please direct me towards the solution. Thanks! David

Courses Plus Student 6,194 PointsI figured it out! I had duplicate files and I had updated one file with the "../" but not the other one.
