1,721 PointsLosing faith?
I am a few hours into the web development track. I have less than an hour left in the total track. I followed everything taught and easily tackled all the code challenges and quizzes. I paused the track and tried to do all the of the stuff covered to "catch up" so to speak. I wanted to see if I could put my knowledge to work and I have gotten maybe halfway through what was taught and hit a major wall. I dont know what to do or where to go from here.
My question is, is this normal? Should I got back through then entire track again? Should I just push on? I have taken a few days off to calm down and try and tackle this with a clear head but I am unsure of what to do. I have really lost faith that this is the right move for me
Thanks for reading, Ryan

1,721 PointsIt is not one specific bug, no. It is getting the site to LOOK like I want, so I guess its pretty much all CSS issues. Why I posted this in HTML I am not sure, lol. Things are not lining up correctly, they are off-center etc. I feel like my CSS file is just crammed with code that isnt neat or organized. Maybe I am just being tough on myself.

If some of this stuff doesn't make sense to you know, it will after going deeper into the CSS courses on Treehouse.

There's lots more to learn about CSS.
My suggestion is pace yourself, but keep going. The track gives you a nice introduction to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but there's much more that you can learn about each of them. There's a particularly rich set of CSS courses available here, including:
- CSS Basics
- CSS Layout Basics
- CSS - Beyond the Basics
- CSS Layout Techniques
- CSS Selectors
- CSS Flexbox Layout
- CSS Transitions and Transforms
- Responsive Layouts
- CSS Best Practices
There's certainly some overlap between these, but the repetition will help reinforce what you've already learned.

13,925 PointsYes- I think it's pretty normal. I'm still working on the Web Development Track and definitely hit road blocks from time to time. I try to give myself projects to work on using the skills I learn and that's usually what shows me what I don't really understand. So I go back and watch the videos again, read blogs, forums, etc.. to fill in the gaps or give me another perspective.
I do take breaks from the videos and try not to move on until I feel like I really have the concept and can use it in a build successfully- like floats, for flexbox.
Also- the Treehouse forum is a great resource for assistance as well.
Keep the faith, keep moving forward, and be patient.
