lost localhost connection

everything was working fine until this part in the course about pug, and now I don't have a localhost connection and I don't know why :(

Did you start your server with node app.js? Do you see: 'This application is running on localhost:3000' when you start it?

When I start it, it says "This site can’t be reached."

I typed node app.js into the terminal and now I'm back in business. Thanks!
