Machine Learning - Python

Any idea when release date for machine learning with Python would come out?

It took almost 3 years, but now there's a Machine Learning course, and it's in a new topic category of the same name (so more may be coming).

Hi Jason Darcy, have you voted for Machine Learning on the Treehouse Python Content Roadmap on Trello?

Hi Iain, thanks for letting me know about Trello. I voted for Machine Learning. I noticed that subjects in the "planned courses" section have a lower number of votes compared to subjects in the "requests" section which have a higher number of votes. Example: Django Forms (4 votes) vs Web Scraping (44 votes). How does Treehouse decide which subjects make it into the planned courses if it is not based on votes?

They would do it partially based on votes, and then perhaps other factors like teacher availability and experience, etc. (I'm just guessing here), but I think the reason behind the difference in votes would just be that once a subject makes it to the 'planned courses', people stop voting on it, so it might have been higher than other requested subjects before, but not anymore.

Hey Jason,

We don't currently have any plans for a machine learning course. I'd love to have one, though!

Jason Darcy There are a lot of factors that go into what we decide to teach next. Community interest, job relevancy, how "hot" a topic is, how well the teacher knows it or whether or not we can get a guest teacher in for it, if it makes sense in the currently available courses, and others. Each of these factors has its own significance and weight.

so, to decide wich course you should put, use machine learning ... ;)
