1,880 PointsMy code below works fine in my IDE but no matter what I do I get the error bummer 'list' object has no attribute format.
def string_factory(myString,myDict): dict_index = -1 stringList = [] for item in myDict: dict_index +=1 stringList.insert(dict_index,(myString.format(**myDict[dict_index]))) return stringList
dicts = [
{'name': 'Michelangelo',
'food': 'PIZZA'},
{'name': 'Garfield',
'food': 'lasanga'},
{'name': 'Walter',
'food': 'pancakes'},
{'name': 'Galactus',
'food': 'worlds'}
]
string = "Hi, I'm {name} and I love to eat {food}!"
def string_factory(myString,myDict):
dict_index = -1
stringList = []
for item in myDict:
dict_index +=1
stringList.insert(dict_index,(myString.format(**myDict[dict_index])))
return stringList

" in that order.
The parameters of your string_factory
are reversed. The first positional parameter should be the list of dictionaries, the second is the string.
