my code doesn't work as a video, from the start.

hello, I followed this video and it doesn't work from the start that I couldn't see any list on the webpage. I followed the video though, but it still doesn't work. please check my code and give some tips what's wrong with :(

var playList = [ 'I Did It My Way', 'Respect', 'Imagine', 'Born to Run', 'Louie Louie', 'Maybellene' ];

function print(message) { document.write(message); }

function printList( list ){ var listHTML = '<ol>'; for( var i = 0; i < list.length; i += 1 ) { listHTML += '<li>' + list[i] + '</li>'; } listHTML += '</ol>'; }

printList(playList);

What is the var for "message"?

Hi,

You forgot to add end of the function printList(list): print(listHTML); So your function should look like this:

function printList(list) {
  var listHTML = '<ol>';
  for (var i = 0; i < list.length; i += 1) {
    listHTML += '<li>' + list[i] + '</li>';
  }
  listHTML += '</ol>';
  print(listHTML); // You need to add this line on your code
}

printList(playList);

So I removed the message function as it was keeping the code from posting. I then made a line of code to add that to wherever the list needs to be. The example should be listed below. If you get some time to post more about the practice and requirements I may be able to help out more.

`var playList = [ "I Did It My Way", "Respect", "Imagine", "Born to Run", "Louie Louie", "Maybellene" ];

function printList(list) { var listHTML = "<ol>"; for (var i = 0; i < list.length; i += 1) { listHTML += "<li>" + list[i] + "</li>"; } listHTML += "</ol>"; document.getElementById('insert-id-tag-here').innerHTML = listHTML }

printList(playList);`
