  secret_word = random.choice(words)

  while len(bad_guesses) < 7 and len(good_guesses) != len(secret_word):
    for letter in secret_word:

      continue
    elif guess in good_guesses or guess in bad_guesses:
      print("You have already guessed that letter!")
      continue
    elif not guess.isalpha():
      print("You can only guess letters:")
      continue

    if guess in secret_word:
      good_guesses.append(guess)
      if len(good_gusses) == len(list(secret_word)):

I see a few issues:

  • you have commas missing on lines 8 and 11
  • on line 33, you have an extra open parenthesis after "len"
  • on line 50 you wrote "good_gusses" (missing an "e")

Also, you may need to revise your win detection strategy. Comparing the number of guesses to the number of letters in the word will only work for words having only unique letters. Otherwise, you can guess all the letters and the program will not recognize the win.

start.lower() -> lower() with paranthesis
