There are two things to fix.

1) The argument for getElementById() doesn't require a pound sign. So

const select = document.getElementById('#breeds');

should just be:

const select = document.getElementById('breeds');

2) Template literals are enclosed with back-ticks instead of quotes. This key is to the left of the number 1 key on the keyboard.

In your code you used single quotes. The correct code is below:
