Python Python Basics (Retired) Ins & Outs String Concatenation

my command space and console not interacting properly

name = input("what's your name ")

if name == "Sang": print(name + "is a smartass and she is OK!") else: print(name + "sleeps all night and " + name + "works all day!")

I wrote this in command space then i went to the console space whatever I input

My console is like this :

treehouse : ~/workspace $ python smartass.py treehouse : ~/workspace $

when i put python smartass.py it should said next ("whats your name") instead its just a blank

please let me wrong what went wrong in my command

Thanks,

check your spacing. Python is space sensitive.

I recommend javascript if your new. Python here is probably the most rigorous teamtreehouse offers, but very good. But if you can pass it with flying colors you should be a very good object oriented programmer.

Hi, jason. you are right! Thanks. I just fixed it now.
