6,507 PointsMy first responsive (bootstrap) site. I'm sure I'm doing it wrong?
Hello,
I'm wondering if someone would mind having a look at my html + css on my clients site.
I've had to learn responsive design techniques in a panic and I'm pretty sure I'm getting it wrong.
I've been building websites for years but these new techniques have fried my brain.
This is my holding page build from a rough photoshop comp from a client. Annoyingly the 'logo' was part of the image so I had to choice but to use the same image at all screen sizes:

My own criticisms are:
I ended having to repeat the text on the page I couldn't work out how to achieve the small screen size design without it.
I also think the footer sizing looks a mess.
I think I'm loading a HUGE image which is not needed on a small mobile device.
I'm loading way too much of bootstrap too I think.
When I look at this in portrait on my nexus 4 the image seems to jump around a little as the phone adds and removes the scroll bars.
And there are probably other criticisms of the code I'd love to hear?
If anyone has any thoughts on which courses on here would be highly beneficial right now I would love the suggestions!

7,582 PointsI would give the text on mobile a little more room to breathe - margin on top and bottom. Also I would align the text to the left instead of center (still talking mobile here).
Maybe give the big image a different height for different window widths. So it doesnt get to cropped when the window is quite narrow but very long.
Other than the points you already mentioned its okay for a 'coming soon' page.

It reassuring that there is nothing too horrible that you've spotted.
