JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Introducing JavaScript Where Does JavaScript Go?

My Javascript is not opening in order.

at the last part of the video, Dave's javascript opened as followed:

  1. alert box opens
  2. header text displays
  3. Second alert box.

with my code the two alerts open then header text is displayed. see code below.

<!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/main.css"> <title>JavaScript Basics</title> <script> alert("Here's another message from Threehouse"); </script> </head> <body> <div class="container"> <h1>Where to place your JavaScript code.</h1> </div> <script src="scripts.js"></script> </body> </html>

Browser behavior has changed in that regard, so it doesn't work as it used to do. It's normal for the page rendering to happen only after the script is finished.
