My layout.css is not applying

I cannot see any changes to my homepage :(. Here is my code:

You may not have any css rules set up for the tags used in your templates. You could add a css rule to your <h1> or <h2> tags to see if your layout.css is being used.

That couldn't be it, as you can see, my "block content" is named as the class "site_container" and there's a style for this class in layout.css file :(!

You have <div class="site_container"> notice the underscore and in the css file .site-container {
