7,218 PointsMy output match the expected one, but I couldn't pass the quiz
Here is my answer
# E.g. word_count("I do not like it Sam I Am") gets back a dictionary like:
# {'i': 2, 'do': 1, 'it': 1, 'sam': 1, 'like': 1, 'not': 1, 'am': 1}
# Lowercase the string to make it easier.
def word_count(word):
word = word.lower()
word_dict = {}
lists = word.split(" ")
for each in lists:
word_dict[each] = lists.count(each)
return word_dict

To split on "all whitespace", leave the argument to "split" empty. If you give it a space it will split only on explicit spaces.
