My preview is not showing, when I check the DOM it says line 135 is undefined...

looking at the code it seems like we want to actually reassign the score and life values maybe?

I changed these lines 135 | 136 to:

  score = "SCORE: " + currentScore;
  life = "LIFE: " + currentLife;

also I suggest changing line 128 to:

  life = game.add.text(16, 16, "LIVES: " + currentLife, { font: "bold 24px Arial", fill: "white" });
