My solution to test my website on other devices was to copy the url from the browser window displaying my website and then to email the link to myself. I was then able to click on the link and open the website on my tablet and phone. It looked fine on both and the links to Twitter and Facebook worked too.

Treehouse Moderator 91,254 PointsIf it works for you, go for it, as there's no better mode of testing than doing so on actual devices. But of course, we can't feassibly have access to all the devices out there.
So feel free to use other means too like your Browsers Dev Tools. :-)
