3,584 PointsMy solution to writing a function that toggles properties
In the video "Toggling Edit State for Guests" (part of "React by example") we're encouraged to try to rewrite the changeConfirmationAt function to be used for both isConfirmed and isEditing. I chose to write the following in GuestList.js :
{props.guests.map((guest, index) =>
<Guest key={index} name={guest.name} isConfirmed={guest.isConfirmed} handleConfirmation={() => props.toggleProperty(index, {...guest, isConfirmed: !guest.isConfirmed})} />
)}
</ul>;
and in Apps.js :
toggleProperty = (indexToChange, changesObj) =>
this.setState({
guests: this.state.guests.map((guest, index) => {
if(index === indexToChange) {
return changesObj;
}
return guest;
})
});
Any downsides to this solution compared to the one in the video using computed values?
Thanks
