9,375 PointsHi Bharat, I am starting off new in the Web Development career path myself and I am wondering the same things you are. After doing some research on the subject for a while now, it seems that if you can show potential employers that you know how to code and make functional websites, this can go a long way in your job search. Having a solid portfolio of projects and coding examples can help achieve this. I have come across quite a few successful designer/developers who are self taught and who did not earn a traditional degree. They worked really hard and didn't give up. It is encouraging to see that this is possible. I hope this is somewhat helpful for you and best of luck to you.
