Hey, a while ago I started an awesome project from Harvard University called NAND2Tetris.
In Hardware Description Language I built my 8-bit computer. In Python I wrote the Assembler and the "bottom half" of the virtual machine translator. I then got stuck, went off and learnt object-orientation, then came back and re-wrote the assembler in Python with OO.
I'd like to pick this project up as an exercise for my Ruby, ending up with being able to play Tetris in a browser running on Rails on the my OS, through my VM, on "my" hardware.
I would like a learning partner to share ideas, sob-stories, etc. We could discussion on Skype every week or so.
This is a fundamental, challenging and highly rewarding challenge. Whose up for it?
