Hi guys! I have found myself in a bit of a dilemma at the moment. I have been programming for years now and am currently studying my A Level in Computing. However, since I started programming I have always switched between different languages at different times which means I have never really got to know one language very well.
Recently, after following advice someone gave me, I have decided that I will pick one language and stick with it whilst I am learning and then if needs be I can pick up the other languages in the future. Unfortunately though I am stuck between 3 different languages which I want to learn all for different reasons. These 3 languages are Swift, Python and Java.
I really like each of these languages in different ways which makes it hard for me alone to make a decision.
Do you have have any advice for me?

However, if you provide some information as to why you like each of the languages: your interests, what excites you, etc., maybe we can steer you in the right direction.

From what I have picked up in my career, is that as a programmer, I have to pick up other languages rather quickly or figure out the parts of the language to accomplish the task. So your python, object-c, Swift will fall in place when needed.
Good luck to you, hope to see ya teaching some Java course on Treehouse!

Alright thank you very much for the information I greatly appreciate it. I shall consider this when I reach my final decision.

13,564 PointsI am really interested in just learning all of the concepts as fast as possible and being able to create some awesome projects such as simple games, apps and more! My list of languages was originally bigger than this but I managed to refine it down to just 3.
