Are you sure its this._major and not this.major you are trying to set?

I don't know what problem you are on but I think your code should look something like this:

The first part of the challenge is asking that you simply create an empty setter like this.

  set major(major) {

  }

The second part of the challenge is asking you to conditionally set the backing major property based on the level of the student, which you can access via the "level" getter in the class.
