Need to Install java SE 6 runtime

So, I installed the android studio that is on the teacher's notes, but after I downloaded it it says you need to install java SE 6 runtime in order to use the android studio.

Later Java versions should be OK but the version of Android Studio in that course is really out of date. I think you would be better off with the current, updated version of this course and the latest version of Android Studio (instructions and links in the course)

Thank you and the new android studio on updated version works on Mac without installing anything but whatever is on teachers note right? :)

Yes, it should work with JDK 7 or 8.
