New video game course

Hi I'm just wondering why the new video game course is taught using c# . And not the new swift language? what is c# Sorry I'm still a beginner and I'm not sure of the difference between c+ and c# . But I am learning swift .

The new game development course is taught with the Unity engine which is cross-platform, and uses C#. Because Unity can create games for many platforms such as PC, Mac, mobile, and game consoles it doesn't make sense to use a language like Swift which is only used for Mac/iOS.
