Newbie using GitHub

Hello everyone,

We all know that having a GitHub account is extremely important if you want to begin a career in web development. I heard it all the time that people should always have a GitHub account and starting to put their projects and codes on it.

The problem that I have is that all the projects I have created now are from following along the tutorials on Treehouse and other learning sources. I don't have a project that is completely built on my own yet, however I know I will for sure in the future.

But as for now, I don't know if it's a good idea to put the tutorial codes on GitHub. I will of course indicates where the code is from and credit the author as well. I just don't know if it will make me look bad or not.

Good question. I say it's ok for now as long as you note that, but I would still work on your own projects to eventually take those down. It will help to show you understand, but it really won't be as helpful of a contribution. Just my opinion. Best wishes!
