iOS Build a Simple iPhone App with Swift v5 Views and View Controllers Hooking Up IBActions

No assistant editor in xCode 11.3

Hello,

Please, can you update the iOS Swift course as there is a brand new version of xCode and Swift (swift UI).

For know, how can i follow the video without assistant editor ?

I don't think Treehouse have any staff developers any longer, so I don't think their courses will be updated.

If you Google any errors, warnings or syntax errors or post them here you can still make use of the content.

Hope this helps.

Same issue for me. The video and current interface are very, very different. There is no manual option when I engage the assistant editor so I'm unable to have the side-by-side view and therefore unable to drag and drop the button to implement actions.

You can still side-by-side, infact now you can open more than two views at the same time unlike the version in the courses. If you click the icon that looks like two rectangles with a plus inside, it will add a new segment. You can then open your storyboard and click / drag to create IBActions from storyboard to the controller.
