I just completed the Web Development Track. I was expecting something tangible to show off on my LinkedIn profile or some sort of printable certificate, but instead nothing??? Come on people!

30,773 PointsYou can link to your profile in order to show off your badges. I'm not sure If LinkedIn has an 'app' for Treehouse to showcase badges earned or tracks completed, honestly.
Completing a track is a big deal, and I get you want to show off that dedication. But since there's really no certifying body for web developers, a certificate is a bit meaningless. Since you've completed the track, you probably have at least one or two solid websites finished and under your belt. Why not share those, or put the code on Github? Even better, if you spun off the project to make a unique website for yourself or someone else, make that the prominent thing on your profile. Showing concrete work will probably get you more notice than a certificate of completion.
Your work and websites are your tangible reward. :) (And the nifty badges)

10,317 PointsBump a LinkedIn award achievement would be super helpful. They had that functionality on Lynda.com, is it hard to integrate with Treehouse? I am using the badge method though as of now though http://teamtreehouse.com/garycalhoun.json that is the feed for treehouse you could build your own app displaying your progress on treehouse.

A portfolio of projects, on Github or Codepen for example, is the ultimate way to certify that one not only educates him or herself, but also has skills in what he or she has learned. My recommendation: as you learn, create projects and add them to your linkedin profile.
Degreed.com is an excellent way present completed course material. Treehouse is integrated in the system and you can refer the viewer directly to every course and workshop you have completed, so he or she can understand the value of the content you attended. "Certified by treehouse" could merely place a question mark in a viewers mind. But, if you can link directly to the treehouse content, there should be no question about the value of what you learned.

10,317 PointsWhoa this degreed.com is awesome! I have alot of udemy courses under my belt too sweet. Thanks for the link. You are 100 percent right though good work speaks for itself, otherwise you just have knowledge of javascript, html, etc. Employers responses are typically "Oh ok thats nice but can you build an application with it?" Employers want to see end results even with my codepen and the websites I have its not enough, so now I am working on adding what I have learned to new or existing websites.

10,870 PointsI definitely agree that the knowledge I've learned at treehouse has improved my work tremendously! I had solid work though before I started Treehouse and I'd like to be able to display the dedication I have to learning new things and honing my skills. A lot of developers are content to keep doing what they know and aren't constantly trying to keep up with the latest technologies. Being able to display a completed track may not prove your skills but it DOES prove your passion and dedication to web development.

Another bonus about degreed.com is that you can showcase all in one place not only completed treehouse courses and workshops, but also books, articles, youtube videos, and personal accomplishments.
