1,783 PointsNo question - but community should also be able to talk: "whereami" - dmg vs. pkg... <sigh>
Ok, this is no question but a rant: I'm quite dissatisfied with the quality assurance of this very basic intro series for how to install Python 3 on macOS:
- the speaker confuses 'pkg' with 'dmg' (basic installation video): this actually is important as pkg runs an installation procedure that usually requires your (su) password;
- the speaker tries to run "whereami" instead of "pwd".
To me, these pesky little details are not only an indicator that the speaker isn't very familiar w/ *ix OS'es, but also, that there is no proper quality assurance process is set up at Treehouse.
B.t.w. - the best documentation for how to install Python 3 is "The Hitchhiker's Guide to Python" from the official doc (or O'Reilly) print.

1,783 PointsThanks and sorry - assumed you actually were staff (QE due to your 100k+ score) ;)
If the process runs smoothly, I'll submit something via the support page as suggested by you.
Thank you for your replies!
Best wishes,
Karsten

1,783 PointsHi Steven,
thanks for the hint, very appreciated.
The reason why I preferred the "Community" post is that it gives more transparency to the members and avoids duplicated reports (less support effort). It could perhaps be useful to introduce another category beside "question", e.g. "enhancement"?

243,134 PointsThat might also be another good suggestion to make to the staff directly.
I know some staff members read forum posts, but I don't know that they see all of them.
