28,738 PointsThe first step to take for troubleshooting this is to make sure you have downloaded and installed the drivers for the phone from Samsung's website.

3,022 Pointsokay I got that now. There are a few folders in the USB Drive folder that Samsung has. I am unsure which one to use. I can post them if you need it?

28,738 PointsI just want to make sure, you downloaded the SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe file from the Samsung site and ran the installer? If so, I'd recommend reattaching your phone and seeing if Android Studio can see it. If not, there are other steps we can take.

3,022 PointsYes I did. I closed and re-opened android studio. There is a device showing up in "Devices" but it says its unauthorized.
James Simshaw
28,738 PointsFrom what I've seen, when you see that its unauthorized, there should be a popup on the phone asking if you want to allow access from the machine. I've seen it glitch out a few times where you may have to disconnect and reconnect the phone a couple of times before that popup actually appears on the phone.

28,738 PointsTo be able to help with the problem, we'll need to know a bit more about your setup. Are you running Windows, Linux, or on a Mac?
