Not happy with Basic PHP Instructor Hampton, are there other instructors that go over similar material?

Hi all, I haven't been enjoying my experience watching Hampton's Basic PHP video series because he's introducing topics in his videos that he either never fully explains or never explains, which will lead to confusion the further I go into the course. I'm not the only one that feels this way either, as an example: https://teamtreehouse.com/community/missing-sections

I know with the HTML series there are other instructors...are there other instructors that go over the concepts of Basic PHP or are there plans to have this in the future for people that don't enjoy Hampton's very cursory and, in my opinion,, lacking completeness teaching style?

**Note: I'm also posting this more to lodge a complaint about this track with this instructor as well as looking for info.

I agree that he goes over all topics quite fast. I was able to keep up due to some experience up front.

But please hang on here! PHP development is not always that easy. If you encounter any specific problems in code challenges, or you want to get something out of a video clarified, please ask it here! The community is here to help!

Strange, I quite like his videos so far...actually, I wonder if they're a bit too slow! But I guess it may be because I have some JS knowledge at this point. Whatever language you start with, it will be hard.

Voting for Zac Gordon. :) Hampton is fast and i think these videos are very old.

Teaching is not always easy guys, especially programming. I understand your frustration, but there are things like programming that have millions of ways of explaining one thing, such as "What is a variable". He is a good instructor.

I kinda like Hampton now. But it seems the "PHP basics" and "PHP functions" videos have missed a lot as i can see the "Build a Basic PHP website" has array never mentioned in those videos. This is not bad but it makes me look into the code many many times to understand it.

The instructor is very clear and specific. I like the way he explains PHP. I have got the idea.

In my opinion Hampton does fine. I have a suggestion, if you think an instructor goes too fast. You can always pause the video or rewind to keep up. I often do this to take my own notes when I feel I am learning something that is difficult and will have trouble remembering.
