Not sure what else to do at this point

var isAdmin = false; var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin ) { alert('Welcome administrator'); } else if (isStudent) { alert('Welcome student'); } else ((isAdmin = false) + (isStudent = false)); {alert('Who are you');}

I tested the code in the console - worked. Why am I still getting an error message?

script.js
var isAdmin = false;
var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin ) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isStudent) {
    alert('Welcome student');
}
else ((isAdmin = false) + (isStudent = false));
{alert('Who are you');}

You've already checked for isAdmin with the first if statement, then you checked isStudent with the else if statement. So if both conditions are false no code in either condition will run. Therefore if neither is true you just need an else{}

var isAdmin = false;
var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin ) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isStudent) {
    alert('Welcome student');
}else{
  alert('Who are you?');
}

else statements dont have a condition because theyre like a catch-all. Since you have already checked if they are admin/student, else must be a stranger.

if (isAdmin) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isStudent) {
    alert('Welcome student');
} else {
  alert('Who are you?');
}
