Python Python Collections (2016, retired 2019) Dictionaries String Formatting with Dictionaries

Not sure what' wrong with this.

Code seems standard, wondering what's wrong here.

string_factory.py
def favorite_food(name = None, food = None):
    if name and food:
        print ("Hi, I'm {} and I love to eat {}!".format(name, food)
    else:
        print("I hate food.")

favorite_food(**{"name":"John","food": "chicken noodle soup"})

You're thinking too deep into it. Just unpack the dictionary with the key arguments.

def favorite_food(dict):
    return "Hi, I'm {name} and I love to eat {food}!".format(**dict)

Why did you ** in the format()? In the video example, he did like rsa14. How do I know where to put the **?
